KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) witnessed lackluster trading today, as the investors throughout the business hours showed more interest in the ongoing politicking in Islamabad than in the market trickling.
The turnover today due to divided attention of the investors aggregated to only 150 million shares, which fell short by 140 million shares as compared to the previous working day. Thus the benchmark 100-index on the whole dipped down by 44 points and closed at 15044 points.
Volume leader Engro Chemicals rose by Rs0.40 to close Rs334.55. KSE-30 index also shed 69 points and wrapped up at 18426 points.
